The Active Hands General Purpose Gripping Aid Right Hand holds the user’s hand in a functional position for effectively holding items, including weights for exercising. This unique gripping aid is designed to allow the user to put on independently, and is ideal for working out in the gym, holding free weights, or using a rowing machine. The Active Hands General Purpose Gripping Aid Right Hand features a strap in the upper section that gently pulls the hand into a fist shape when tightened, adjusting to hold items in the palm. This additional strap wraps over the top of the hand and attaches to the wrist strap and can be tightened to close the user’s fist into a power grip. The wrist strap is also adjustable for a secure grip. The gripping aid is made from durable neoprene (wetsuit material), and durable webbing with padding for increased comfort. This gripping aids gently, yet firmly holds the hand enabling the user to hold tightly objects from hammers to garden tools; gym equipment to wii controllers; ski-outriggers to boat tillers; adaptive bike handles to musical instruments; and many more. Tetraplegics, quadriplegics, those with Cerebral Palsy, stroke recovery or any disability that affects hand function may find this gripping aid helpful. The Active Hands General Purpose Gripping Aid is available in three sizes: Small, Standard (Adult) and Large (Adult) and in left or right options (each sold separately). Small gripping aids are for adults with especially petite hands and children aged over five. Standard sized gripping aids fits most adults; however, a Large size is also available. To determine size, measure the narrowest part of the wrist and from the wrist crease to the tip of the middle finger.
